Summer Bonus Episode: Code Red!
On this special summer bonus episode, Elric and Brian take a deep dive into the Code Red DVD label and sit down with the one-man-band behind it - Mr. Bill Olsen. After their chat with Bill, they run though a group of films from Code Red that they like and think are worthy of picking up. They also choose one film each from Scorpion Releasing (basically a sister company to Code Red, run by Bill's brother Walt) to highlight as well.

Episode 12: Peary's Cult Movies 1
For this finale of the first season of the show, Elric and Brian reflect on the previous 11 (& 1/2) episodes and call out some favorite moments and discoveries that have come about because of them as well as some ideas they have for season two. The focus of episode 12 is on Danny Peary's Cult Movies 1 and they each choose their "5 Films Because" from this book, which has been incredibly important and formative to both of them.

On this week's show, Elric and Brian welcome guest Josh Olson (Academy Award nominated screenwriter of A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE) and enter into the gritty world of crime films - each offering "5 Films Because" in a demonstration of their love for the genre.

Inspired by Scream Factory's new Blu-ray release of John Waters' film SERIAL MOM, Elric and Brian discuss the film and offer up suggestions of things to pair with it. Next, they diverge into the topic of dysfunctional families in cinema and offer their 5 films because for movies that have both real and created familial situations.
